There was a bitterly cold wind sweeping Eire today but money was involved so I ventured into town - despite this vile coughing cold. Tried on some jeans in BTs sale after I collected the dosh – it’s what women do. Was closely tempted by a pair of Citizen of Humanity jeans which were low rise and bootleg – that means your arse falls out when you sit down and they look like flares – that’s why they’re in the sales. You won’t find medium rise straight legged in the brand you actually want in the sales. Sales are subtle things – they try to make you buy something you weren’t really looking for because it’s cheap – it’s not cheap if you weren’t looking for it in the first place especially if it’s a pair of jeans that look better on you standing up than sitting down. I was actually looking for smoked salmon in M & S and it was still on sale – really decent stuff – some food buyer must have made a booboo before Christmas when he thought he knew the Irish market for smoked fish from Scotland
– he was wrong – very wrong and I am very glad. Thank you young Marks and Spencer Manager whoever you are – no replies to this on Facebook please – my tolerance levels for gobshittery are quite low at the moment due to illness. Still feeling hors de combat as a result of a cold that won’t go away. Currently perched in the nest looking at the plasma widescreen with the Christmas gift collection of DVDs at hand as back up – what’s not to like. Gales forecast tomorrow – so the nest it shall be. Coffee and buttered toast with apricot jam and lot’s of reading. Think I’ll survive quite nicely. Chat soon.
